Ryzen 5 1600X


Description
We need your help: we don't have results in all modes. If you have a 1600X and want to help us to complete the stats, you just have to run the benchmark in modes SSE, AVX, and validate the results. You don't have to register and the whole process will take less than 3 minutes per mode.

The Ryzen 5 1600X is a cpu manufactured by AMD that was released on April 2017. This model has 6 Summit Ridge cores with Simultaneous MultiThreading (SMT), runs at 3600 MHz as base frequency and has a a thermal design power of 95 W.

The 1600X has 6x64+6x32 kB of cache L1, 6x512 kB of cache L2 and 2x8192 kB of cache L3.

Zen is the first Ryzen generation. It uses 14nm FinFET process from GlobalFoundries. It has support for DDR4 memory and ECC. Comes with 64kB instruction + 32kB data L1 cache and 512kB L2 cache per core.

Non-optimized benchmark
The benchmark in Mode 0 (FPU) measures cpu performance with non-optimized software. It uses the basic µinstructions from the i386 architecture with the i387 floating point unit. This mode is compatible with all CPUs so it's practical to compare very different CPUs

AVX2 optimized benchmark
The benchmark in mode III (AVX2), like AVX1, is optimized to used 256 bits registers beside the second version of the Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX). The first AVX2 compatible CPU was released in 2013.

Multithread performance graph
Multithread graphs measure the performance against a heavy load during certain time.

If CPU's TDP doesn't limit the frequency and the machine is properly cooled, performance should remain steady vs time. Otherwise, the performance score will oscillate or decrease over time.
