Intel Core i9-9900K details and performance | Hardlimit Benchmark Central
The Core i9-9900K is a cpu manufactured by Intel released on October 2018. This model is based on Coffee Lake architecture which is the second refinement of Intel’s 14nm (Tri-Gate) technology. While it uses LGA1151 socket, it is incompatible with previous generations due to electrical changes in socket’s pins so these CPUs require Z370 chipset. This kind of generation introduced more cores in every range to compete with new AMD’s arquitecture. Coffee Lake uses DDR4 memory at 2400MHz for i3 and at 2666MHz for i5, i7 CPUs plus iGPU frequency has been increased 50MHz with respect to previous generation. This model runs at 3600 MHz
as base frequency but it can reach up to 5000 Mhz under some conditions with a thermal design power of 95 W. About its cache memory, this CPU has 8x32+8x32 kB level 1 cache, 8x256kB of level 2 cache and 16384kB of level 3 cache.
The performance score in monothread tasks in mode 0 (non-optimized software) of the Core i9-9900K is 49138 while its multithread score in the same mode is 269946 points. If we talk about optimized software, in its highest mode (mode III optimized for AVX2), the monothread score is 86808 and the multithread score is 554971 points.
There are some CPU models pretty similar to this one like the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X and the Intel Core i7-8700 amongst others. To know the complete list and how similar are they, please go down on this page.
