Description
We need your help: we don't have results in all modes. If you have a i9-7980XE and want to help us to complete the stats, you just have to run the benchmark at stock frequency (no oc) in modes SSE, AVX, and validate the results. You don't have to register and the whole process will take less than 3 minutes per mode.

The Core i9-7980XE is a cpu manufactured by Intel that was released on May 2017. This model has 18 Skylake-X cores with HyperThreading, runs at 2600 MHz as base frequency and has a a thermal design power of 165 W.

The i9-7980XE has 18x32+18x32 kB of cache L1, 18x1024 kB of cache L2 and 25344 kB of cache L3.

Sky Lake is also known as 6th generation Core. Include Thunderbolt 3.0, SATA Express and Iris Pro graphics with DirectX 12. It uses LGA 1151 socket for mainstream models and LGA 2066 for X-Series. Sky Lake comes with AVX2 support in all mainstreams CPUs and AVX-512 in some high end models.

Non-optimized benchmark
The benchmark in Mode 0 (FPU) measures cpu performance with non-optimized software. It uses the basic µinstructions from the i386 architecture with the i387 floating point unit. This mode is compatible with all CPUs so it's practical to compare very different CPUs

Multithread performance graph
Multithread graphs measure the performance against a heavy load during certain time.

If CPU's TDP doesn't limit the frequency and the machine is properly cooled, performance should remain steady vs time. Otherwise, the performance score will oscillate or decrease over time.
